The event organizer contracts for bike valet because they want to diversify travel methods to improve the guest experience. They may also want to eliminate guest inconvenience due to a no bag policy use for the patron. That usually makes the service free to use.

Bike Valet DMV provides secure storage in an enclosed, monitored area near the event entrance rather than leaving a prized bike on the street vulnerable to theft or damage. Recent studies of bike theft at metro stations suggests that there is a correlation between the number of bikes at or around stations and bike thefts around Metro stations so it’s reasonable to assume the same will be true at venues or events.

Upon check in, the patron receives a digital “ticket” via SMS which they use to retrieve possessions. Event goers can use our events page to reserve express check-in and to reserve a space and let us know when they wants to collect their possessions further shortening what is already a fast check in and out experience.

To prevent bike theft our trained valets check every item in and out and keep exact details of what is left in our care. Furthermore, cyclists with a patron portal account can store photos of their bikes. To ensure expedited guest dispersal at the event’s conclusion, we automatically remind patrons if we still have their possessions to come and collect. That is typically thirty minutes before the event’s conclusion.

For the patron, valet parking eliminates the need to carry bulky locks or chains around that can scratch a bike’s paint.

For the organizer, a valet improves the guest experience and contributes to operational simplicity.

Secure Self Service Bike Parking

For event organizers that do not need full service bike valet, we offer secure self service bike parking. Bike Valet DMV will provide the racks setup and secure the bike corral and remove it at the conclusion of the event. Patrons are responsible for racking or parking their bikes. Bike Valet DMV staff will check them in and out using a waterproof numbered tickets. Like bike valet, the guests get easy quick access to their ebike, bike or scooters. The organizer cannot take advantage of any of the optional sponsor services.

Bike Rack Rental

For venue and event space owners who don’t want to buy and store bike racks, BVDMV offers a bike rack rental service. Bike Valet DMV will deliver and setup the racks prior to the event and then teardown and remove the racks following the event’s conclusion. The venue is responsible for the delivery of bike valet services and the security of the racks while in their care. Bike Valet DMV can optionally provide signage to help event visitors find the bike valet space.

Optional Sponsor Services

Only available as a part of bike valet services.

  1. The featured events page for every event can feature the sponsor’s logo.
  2. Patrons will be able to reserve a spot. As a part of the reservation process, Bike Valet DMV can solicit donations for the sponsor’s foundation or charitable program.
  3. Patrons can request express pickup. While preparing the bike or scooter for pickup, we can provide any collateral the sponsor wants the patron to have
  4. Bike Valet DMV automatically reminds patrons to collect their bikes upto 45 minutes before the scheduled end of the event. That message can be tailored to remind patrons who sponsored the bike valet.
  5. Bike Valet DMV can send digital coupons to every patron.
  6. 30 minutes or later after items are checked out, the patron can be thanked for using the Bike Valet and/or reminded to engage with the sponsor.
